Is this in sweeney todd or some other story?

Question:i know that sweeney todd is about bejimen barker who loses everything and is banished or something and he comes back as sweeney todd. but in this play or musical is this the same story at the one that he cuts up ppl and makes them into pies as well or is that a differnt story ... i know this question is strange prolly gross but i wanted to know so please dont type unhelpful things and please dont spoil the play for me or movie or n e thing

Yes, it is Todd and Mrs. Lovett who come up with the idea to chop the bodies up and use them in meat pies for Mrs. Lovett's shop.

It's actually based on an old English wivestale. Great history to the piece.
