Casting for twilight?!?!?

Question:what is their freaking problem??
i know 2 things::
1.Edward is supposed to be beautiful.
2.Robert Pattinson is NOT beautiful, although he looks like a vampire.

Then why did they pick him!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I personally don't think that they should make a movie at all, seeming as no matter how detailed a character maybe, the reader always adds their imagination to the picture. for instance, I personally see Edward with dark brown or black hair, not "russet brown". No matter who they cast, it won't make a difference, some will fall in love with him, and some will boycot the movie in fury. either way, NEVER will everyone be happy.

You'd be surprised what the makeup people can do, and how attractive a good actor can make himself.

That said, I have never ever liked any movie version of any of my favorite books. Movies kill books. Reading the book AFTER seeing the movie is better all around, because your hopes are never destroyed that way.

Honestly? I freaked out when I found out Robert would be playing Edward. I was really disappointed. But then I saw this video clip of him:

All I can say now is he would make fairly decent Edward. I know they can't ever cast the perfect Edward (or the Edward in my eyes) but I'll give Robert a chance. As long as the movie people style him like they did in the Vanity Fair clip above I'm all good!

I'll tell you why: Because he will do perfect. He doesn't look exactly like the Edward I pictured, but he is a tramendous actor and will play the part perfectly. Don't doubt his abilities or the abilities and judgement of the casting directors. They know what they are doing. And with a movie this big, nobody in the cast is going to do it wrong. Especially Robert. He's got the most weight on his shoulders so you know he'll be perfect. I LOVE the casting so far. Kristin Stewart is perfect as well. Very fine actress. They know their craft.
