You'll want to pick fun music that is upbeat and will be interesting to choregraph. I've also used kids in younger grades to sing as back up. Is there a theme to your show? Is it a holiday show?

If you use the younger kids, they should all be in one place dressed the same - not dancing around - thats too much work to get together.

Do you have real talented singers and dancers in the high school group? Ask them what music they are comfortable with - and work with that. You can base a theme around what they think they're best at - let them brainstorm and help you put things together - the more input they get, the better they will perform.

Being in a Show band in my younger days a good spot light and a good QUALITY lighting system would help spice things up and give a very professional ambiance to your talent show.
To hire a good light system and operator expect to pay around
400.00 and for a few more dollars you could probably get a good sound system with that. Look in Yellow Pages under
Entertainment and check with your local music stores that may do both lites and sound
