Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Character Social...and i need a costume?

Question:and a character i can portray easily., for the whole night...
I am a very happy person and laugh way too much
so depressive characters are not the way to go.
I am flat broke so something that i can easily throw together with stuff i already have, but then again nothing that looks too homemade. More importantly i need to portray the character i choose. its a drama club thing.
please help me.
but also if you have some suggestions of where i can possibly go to get a few things to put it together it would be greatly appreciated.

few tips.
female.
15.
5' 3''
brown hair.
kinda punkish (in a sort of way.)

characters can be from movies books...etc.

Have you heard of Pippi Longstocking? She has hair like the girl from Wendy's fast food chain. I think she wore overalls and you might want to give yourself freckles. The hair can be accomplished with red yarn.

How about Zena Warrior princess, not really happy-go-lucky, yet may work with your wardrobe, sorry cant think of anymore

Go as Lara Croft, Alice from Resident Evil. OR do a 360 and go as some demure female from a period movie, like Pride and Prejudice just wear some plain dress and no makeup. Since you didnt give us much to go on ideas are limited. Sorry hun

How about Tonks from Harry Potter? Her wardrobe is pretty casual and you should be able to easily come up with a costume using what you already have. She is a fun character which should be easy to portray for a night. All you'd need to do extra would be to find a bright colored wig, or spray dye your hair - which sounds like a blast to me.

I thought of Tonks as soon as I read that you're kind of punkish - I think she would be a good fit.

You can find more information on here here:

EDIT: I also like JoyA's suggestion of Pippi Longstocking. She is a VERY fun character. Dress in mismatched socks - scrub brushes on your feet would be cool, too. Her father sailed the 7 seas and she can beat up boys. Here's a picture I found of a dancer portraying the beloved red-head: http://www.nathalienordquist.com/downloa...
