Question:Other than lemon and honey, olive oil... what is good for your throat/voice before you sing? What is a good thing to take before an audition? (What about Buckley's cough syrup)?

You shouldn't need any of those things unless you are having vocal issues or a sore throat. After several nights of performances we would often drink warm mint tea w/o any sugar. But if you are just auditioning for a part just make sure you warm up your vocal chords first and you should be fine!

You don't need anything like that. You don't sing with your throat. The air comes from your Diaphram and passes over your Larynx. The only thing I ever used to use, was a small glass of sherry. It relaxes the throat and vocal chords.
