you should pick something your style- and go with nothing generic, pick something that no one's heard in a while, something that will surprise and please. classics help sometimes, or ones that no one's heard. if you pick a classic, make sure you give a fresh, not redundant delivery. for your monologue, be sure to talk loudly and with lots of expression. if you add in humor it may help. well i think you should do what ever part you want to audition for
which part makes you feel most comfortable. go for that part that makes you feel most comfortable
