Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Does Cha-Cha in Grease (the play) sing anything??

Question:Hey-- I'm trying out for the part of cha-cha for the school play, and I just wanted to know which songs she did, if any, and also-- if there are any good monologues to audition with. Like, a couple lines that she says that I could pump up the accent on, and charm the judge with. Please help, my audition is in about 3 weeks!!

Thanks,
A-Nox

I don't think she does. No, in fact, I'm sure she does not sing... but she dances up a storm ;0) and has some very sultry one liners like: "They call me Cha Cha because I'm the best dancer at St. Bernadette's."

no she's just a dancer

i mean she prolly sings when everyone does but she has no solos or anything

she danced during the school prom
maybe rent the movie and study her a lil bit =]

I saw a production once where she sang "It's Raining on Prom Night" as a duet with Sandy, but I think that was a director choice, and isn't the way it's typically scripted. Normally Cha-Cha has a few lines, but is mostly a dancing role.

Break a leg!

Cha Cha does sing. THE MOVIE IS NOT THE MUSICAL!!! ---thats just to the other answers. She sings "It's Raining on Prom Night" with Sandy. It's a duet, and a nice one. I wouldn't overdo the accent. The more subtle the accent the better because they can be very distracting. People might not understand everything you say, and it may just make you look like you are a bad actor. Trust me.
