Question:I had a presentation to give today and i didn't do too good. I only got a 91. She said that i need to improve upon my opening, my gestures, diction, and closing. I can improve upon diction on my own but i need a bit of help to get an excellent attention-grabbing opening, excellent use of gestures, and an excellent closing. Any tips?

The audience wants to relate to your presentation. They don't want your presentation to be another boring slide show about elephants and hippos. You want to grasp their attention, and a really good opening sentence helps. You should also bring props, if its relating to your presentation. Ex: If you are doing a biography on Walt Disney, go full out and wear a Micky Mouse headband or a hat. It really breaks the ice with your audience, and makes everything less awkward. You want to really act casual, and ALWAYS make eye contact with your audience. Make your speech flow, and don't let there be any awkward pauses in it. Your classmates want to enjoy it, and not fall asleep. Hope I helped *best answer? lol* =]
