Wow...just...wow...how could you *miss* it? Seriously. Think about the story for a moment. The "moral lesson" practically jumps out an smacks you! That whole pretty girl meets monster, gets to know monster, and falls in love with monster because of who he is, not how he looks thing? Yeah. It's right there- basically, appearences can be decieving, don't judge a book by its cover. That kind of thing.

I would think you can guess I from the opening monologue...
