Thanks.

I did a lot of theater in high school. It was my passion. I also danced competitively. Well I moved out to Los Angeles for school ( nothing theater related ) and I wanted to audition for a production of RENT in Hollywood. Being a dancer in that was like the end all be all of parts. I was going for ensamble but I felt I was kinda giving up... GO FOR THE GOLD i thought.Well I told everyone, friends and family, and they thought I kinda blew my chances. They told me to go for something I knew I could do. Well I'm like why? I KNOW i can do that... but I dont know if I can get the lead part i really wanted. It was something to shoot for. Well 5 auditions later and a whole lot of worries and tearful phone calls home, I got the part of Mimi. It pretty much blew my family away. They didn't know that i could sing but I was always to embarresed to show them. So in the end, I worked my butt off and took a chance, had some heartbreak along the way. But I kept going and in the end I was able to fullfill a dream!

Well I am new at the whole play thing. My friends dont see me as an actress so they kept turning me down. It hurt. So I went to the school play director and she said (shes my science teacher soo she knows me) that i deffinatly got a part. Even w/o trying out yet! Yeah that made me happy. She said my personallity is very outgoing and unique. She says im loud which is good for the plays were doing!

good luck
you can do it!

I recently moved to a new school so when it came time for the school production there were people who didnt beleive in me. I have always had a passion for acting so I auditioned. I remember there was one girl who was always telling me that she would good the part she wanted and so would this boy she knew. This boy is a very talented actor but so am I so I auditioned and got the lead role! She didnt even get a part and the boy got a good supporting role. Audition, beleive in yourself and give it your best effort. Break a leg!

Acually the oppiset. I tried out at the world famist Ordway and got to call backs and everyones like"Your gona get the part." But then I didn't.

Yes. I tryed out for a high school play called Seussical the Musical. I was only in 6th grade, and had never, ever taken theatre before, so the chances of even getting the smallest part (who) were very very little. I was trying out with Seniors! I was totally doubting myself but guess what, I made it in! Even some high schoolers didn't make it! I was so proud of myself, and I hadn't even gotten the smallest part! It was so worth it trying out, and I stuck through it the whole way. Every night from 4:30 to 7. I even kept my grades above average!

Good luck on getting the part of Gertrude McFuzz! "Anything's possible" (when you get in, you'll understand it!)
