well I'm in 8Th grade too and i was just in my school play and i was the lead character. one of the things that will really help is enunciate. make sure you can hear the words really clearly. another is project. make your words loud but not to where your yelling. BE CONFIDANTE!!!! it will make a difference.

Wat are you doing for your audition? as in cold reading, monologue, etc...

if you do get a part do all of the above and a little more. remember to really get into your character. ask questions like:
why did i (the character)say this line?
why am i here?
what am i thinking?
another thing that helped me remember my lines is to write them down and with each line put by the side Wat i (the character) was thinking.

Good Luck!!!!!! e-mail me and tell me how it goes

Good luck! I was in my school play of Beauty and the Beast. I was Papa. It's tons of fun. I know you'll love it.

Just be confident in yourself. If you sound all nervous, then people wouldn't like you as much. Be sure to know your lines very well, because most likely you'll have to memorize them.

Tips: Be yourself, but don't be yourself. Like....don't be and 8th grade girl....be whatever part your trying out for but bring ur own energy to the show. Make sure that you know your lines and lyrics so you don't look like an idiot and practice infront of a mirror so you know what ur facial expressions look like and you won't choke. Also, don't come across as a snob who thinks they're the best. Most people gives the good parts to people who are fair about it and wouldn't care if they got it or not. Like.. i mean don't suck up to the teacher. They aren't stupid they know what your trying to do and won't give you the part you want. Oh...and also make sure when you do the audition you are giving your BEST.... 100% effort. If they know that you are willing....they will let you try. Be on time to the audition and if you get it make sure you keep your part and try your best so your not replaced!
Final words: Good Luck!

Try your hardest and be confident. don't let your guard down. do your best. that way even if you don't get the part you wanted you'll know you did your best. there is always next year.

Break a leg!

just try your best and if you get stuck on a line just keep going as if nothing ever happened because the audience won't realize thayou made a mistake. just practice your lines and make the best of it. and remember you don't have to be perfect even high ranked celebrities make mistakes.
