Absolutely! If you have a stable, supporting, happy environment to move to in LA, by all means go. It is obvious you have the passion for it, and it is definitely what you want to do so I see no reason why you shouldn't. I understand you care about your friends, but at the end of the day, they aren't going to get you that acting contract. And this is your dream, which you have a very fortunate chance in accomplishing. Go for it... Break a leg!

loser --> LOL

Finish school first.. Then act like you can act.

If you become a famous actor, && get lots of money...
You could always fly out there, or fly them there to see you.
Give it a shot.
:)

I think you should try it.

i have no real answer but no i don't think so try to find an agent from where you live but don't give up!

You never know what will happen..If you feel its worth the risk to try then go for it.

Good luck

Do what you think is best. If I, personally had that oppurtunity, i would take it would I really want to become an actor too. I say go for it

yeas, there is alot of people doing the same thing.. i think that if it is something that you love and know you are good at.. then give it a chance.. you never know what could happen.. good luckk..see you on the big screen one day :)

yes, that's how Brittany Spears, Miley Cirus, jessica Simpson and others did it. Follow your dreams!! What is your name? I want to say I helped you on yahoo answers before you are famous! :)

it depends what is means more to . and also if you become rich you can fly and see your friends good luck

if this something u really wana do then GO FOR IT the people u know rite now wont be ur 'friends' forever and ur best friends will still stay in touch, thats y we hav email, txting, and aim rite? lol
Really hope it all works out- follow ur dreams!
Hope to see u on tv or movies!

I am an actor, I would do it. Take a chance!

Get an education first and try acting in your free time. If the acting falls through you still have your qualifications. It also means that you can apply for further study in acting later.

I have to definately agree with phoenix. Her answer is basically what i would say to you!!

Years ago, a friend of mine moved to L.A. to become an actor. He's told me many times that people come by the busload to be an actor, and leave by the busload on a daily basis.

About 15 years ago, I got into acting via community theater after one having one of my stage plays produced. I'm in three to five shows a year, and constantly have to turn roles down. I've played a wide variety of roles, and have probably done more acting then my friend. He gave up trying a long time ago, and doesn't have much to fall back on because he didn't bother to go to college. I've also been in several small independent films and more roles are comming.

Community theater draws its talent from the community at large. Usually no experience is required, and it introduces you to a world of people that will give you exposure to stage and film roles. It's a wonderful place to gain experience, and you can find many such theaters on the American Associatioon of Community Theatre Website www.aact.org.

I live in Milwaukee, and at least once a year somebody I know moves to L.A. and comes back about six months later saying there are more realistic acting opportunities in Milwaukee, including doing commercials, simply because there are so many people competing for extremely few roles.

It's my understanding that Harrison Ford went into acting knowing that the odds of making it big were minimal. He created a backup plan by becoming a carpenter and got himself jobs buildling sets. This gave him exposure and eventually led to an acting career.

If you want to be an actor that's fine, but bear in mind that you're in there with thousands of wannabees. Get an education so you can put food on the table, and do something if your plans don't come through. After you get a working degree in something that you enjoy you could go for the American Academy of Dramtic Arts, which graduates such notables as Meryl Streep and many other performers while you're doing your day job.

Live your dreams, but also be prepared to live not just survive.

No, you should stay where you are. I'm sixteen, and hoping for the same thing. If you are a good actor, acting should be inside you. If you are a great actor, you should know exactly what to do. You should finish high-school with very good grades, attend a university(taking acting class), and get a master degree in performing arts. David Letterman said that it's better to be lucky, than to be talented in show business. If you actually believe him, then do what you wish. Cause I don't believe him.

Acting isn't money or riding your private jet to the dentist. It's about love. If you actually love acting, you would stay in school and get that master degree. You probably think what would I know, right? But I know acting and that is my way.
If you want to go to Hollywood and be a movie star...break a leg...cause you will need it. Matter of fact, break both of your legs.

everyone in LA is doing that or music

Every waiter is an actor

At 15 you won't get stage work (have to be 18 for that) and I don't know if you can get extra work

Understand a union card costs $2,500 in one payment certified check

you need a work permit

yu need a parent with good transportaton 24/7/365

there's not a lot of work for teens because of the work rules (2 hours on 2 hours off, a studio teacher on premises)

You need to find a good agent that hadles teens for commercials and tv and film

You need a head shot

You need to become SAG eligible (and have that $2,500 to buy your card)

Is there a lot of people doing the same thing?? Have you ever been to LA??
