Question:Who are the main female characters in "Into the Woods"? Also, for an audition situation, what would be good songs to sing when trying out for each of those characters?

The Baker's Wife and the Witch are the leads, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella are two supporting, and there are several other really fun female roles.

Just sing something that shows off your range, is full of energy, and that you are comfortable with. Look at music from "The Last 5 Years", or "Tick Tick BOOM". I would generally stay away from Sondheim, unless really familiar with the song, because it is very difficult music unless rehearsed, plus it's hard for a pianist to sight read, unless they are familiar.
