Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Need A good song????

Question:Okay so there are these auditions for the school play in January and I am having a difficult time finding a song...My friend suggested The Man In The Moon from the musical Mame. I looked everywhere for a video or a song clip and can't find anything. So my ? is does anyone know where i can find a FREE video or song clip or have a good song for an Alto female? The requirements are it has to be from a musical and we need accompaniment or we can go a Capella. I would really prefer accompaniment so if you have a song that has accompaniment with it that's be great. Thanks!!!1

Well it depends on the genre of the musical you are doing. If you have a specific character in mind you would want to pick a song in the same range as the character and with similar motivations. For example if you were trying out for Kim in Bye Bye Birdie you could audition with "I Enjoy Being A Girl" to resemble "How Lovely To Be A Women." So if you could add extra details on the show like the title and if you have a certain part in mind that would be great so we could all be more helpful. But until then I will just give you titles of classic alto songs.

IF YOU WANT TO BELT TRY THESE SONGS:
