Question:I'm auditioning for a play in which I will be playing a young teen so I need to have a classic everyday look. She is also interested in the world affairs so any shirts with slogans like that would be awesome!

My drama teacher told me that you're always supposed to wear black to auditions...

wear a black t-shirt with straightlegged dark wash pants.. just a casual look and my teacher told me to wear dark colors to auditions

do you want them reading your tshirt or listening to your audition?
You've got more to offer then a cute outfit...don't tell them who your character is by the words on your shirt, show them who you are through the character choices you make in your audition piece!
Choose an outfit that is comfortable, and not too distracting. Let your performance be the focus.
