I want to be a hollywood actress, im from brazil...?

Question:...i know is VERY hard to become a hollywood star, specially for foreigners, but im taking theatre classes, and when its finish im going to have the DRT (i dont know the word in english but is like a pass that says you r a professional actress, is very hard to get1, i dunno if you have something like that in usa, or if the drt is valid there, but.), and i study on an art university - scenical arts
and im studying geology too..

so, in 2009 im going to LA study there, i think im going to an university study geology and going to take classes of theatre or scenical arts or....other things(like what??!)
OR, (i dont know whats best), i dont take geology classes, wait to come back to brasil tocontinue that study, and just find an university in la to study theatre...and i dont know if i take other theatre classes besides the university..
so..im lost, i dont know whats better..
but i certainly go to LA, plz, help me, wot do i do? wots the best to become an actress an if is possible a geo

This question is asked at least a hundred times a week here. The answer is always the same. Your chances are slim to none. Really, you have very little chance. You need connections in the business and you also need to start out in community theater. What the heck is a DRT? Just skip it. Get an education. You have about as much chance of making it in Hollywood as a snowball has in Hell.

Probably the best way to go for you is:
1. Study drama.
2. Get involved in your local Brazilian industry
3. Work a lot in Brazil. There you will have more opportunities and the language/accent doesn't limit you.
4. If you get to be good enough there, Hollywood will recognize you.

It may take many, many years. But if you try to start in Hollywood, it's just not gonna happen. You'll notice a week after you get to LA.
