How can she get a job in acting?

Question:Hi everyone! My sister Ally wants a job in acting, like in moives or tv shows,she is 14 and she has been in alot of school plays and has always got an A in drama, but we live in Belfast and I've told here it would be very hard to act in something over here but she won't listen. So has anyone got any suggestions?

Going from a school drama club to a movie or television show is a huge step. I would try auditioning for a local theater first.

check out the phone book, there must b some local drama clubs? tht would b great experience.

First off Belfast Maine?? I live in Maine and even though theres not much movie stuff here she can still build up her resume to get a talent agent. And if you mean Belfast UK then I've listed a theatre you can contact. She has to build up her resume with plays and stuff.

First off, in ANY movie or tv show, you need an agent. That is really the only way you can even be CONSIDERED for a part. Hunny bun, getting an A in drama is nothing, sorry to brake it to ya but someone who is HORRIBLE in acting could get an A in drama- there is a complete difference between drama and acting. She should have some good roles to make her stand out from other people, just because she is a munchkin in wizard of oz doesn't mean a thing. Casting directors need to see something on her resume that stands out from other people. She should have had some acting lessons, and needs to have great grades.
