D, but not for the reason Isaac states. MacBeth only wants MacDuff's family killed AFTER he's already killed King Duncan and claimed the throne. MacDuff is then his greatest rival.

Spiceitup2007 is right about the prophecy, but I don't believe MacBeth knows MacDuff's unique status as the fulfiller of that prophecy.

MacBeth kills DUNCAN because he want to be king (and because his wife tells him to). :)

I'm pretty sure it's B or D- the witches make a prophecy of Macbeth dying of a man who is not born by a woman or something like that. Sorry, I haven't read Macbeth recently.
