Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: What should i wear that is appropriate!

For auditions, you should wear something that is nice, allows for comfortable movement, and a good color for you. Nothing tight, revealing, or distracting.

For instance- blouse in a solid color that will bring out your
eyes

-dark dressy slacks

- flattering nice shoes that you can move in
(you can invest in a jazz shoe with height)

-very simple jewelry, nothing too dangly or noisy

-clean natural makeup/ hair out of face

You do want to look like you put effort into your appearance. Everything should be ironed and clean. I would stay away from sweats, jeans, and logo t-shirts.

The only exception is if the audition notice requests dancewear.

thongs

I would wear something that didn't call attention to my body, dark pants or jeans, ordinary shirt or T-shirt. You want them to notice you, your face, expressions, not your clothes.

Try something dark, maybe all black, because you want them to concentrate on your face and voice, rather than be distracted by bright clothing or jewelry.

i wouldn't go all out pretty much what everone else said about the whole black is the right idea....just wear something comfortable

Honestly, I would go with jeans and a black or white tank top or tee. Simplicity is best.
