What are some good audition songs, for a tryouts for a school musical?

Question:Auditions for the school musical/play are coming up and you have to sing a song from a musical. I need a good song I cant think of any good ones, and no High School Musical though. I can sing Alto and Soprano and range in between too. We are performing Junior High: The Musical so if there is a link about the musical and it's characters that would be great so that I can inform myself.
