I've sang "Christmas Lullaby" for an audtion, and it turned out very well. Why don't you try that?? I would suggest Think of me from Phantom of the Opera or Poor Wand'ring One from Pirates of Penzance, but both Grease and Little Shop have upbeat songs in them and are more of pop-ish type singing. Good Luck!

Gotta go my own way. High School Musical. It has alot of good notes that are easy to sing! Best of Luck!! : o ) But I do agree with Grease. LOL!

grease is great

Little Shop! Grease is over used even if it is great. Little shop is also good and great for auditions!

anything from Grease.

You could try "My Strongest Suit" from Aida, "A Very Nice Prince" from Into the Woods, or maybe something from The Light in the Piazza, Les Miserables, or Phantom of the Opera. Those are less upbeat, but it's kind of hard to find an upbeat song for a high soprano...

Good luck!

Ok, at "normal people auditions" if you were to sing anything from High School Musical, Wicked, Les Miserables, Chicago, Spring Awakening, Rent, Grease, or Sound of Music I can almost guarantee you would not get a part unless you were one of the GREATEST singers in the country. Now, let's be honest, if you don't even know what music to look for you aren't one of the greatest singers in the country. However, for your lack of knowledge of Musical Theatre, I would stick with Little Shop of Horrors. It's a great show with plenty of great songs that will keep most everyone entertained. Suddenly Seymour is a great song, check it out and if the range is right for your voice then use it.
