Question:heyy this is jill's friend jess :]

i have an audition for alice in wonderland on mon, tues, and weds; and one of those days i have a reading audition. should i use a british accent or would that be over-the-top?

its a middle school production, im from new york and im going for the part of alice.

also, im using home from the wiz (first two verses) for my audition song in a higher key (Key of F). opinions on that!

Do yourself a big favor and stay away from phony accents. They make people laugh. A lot and not with you either, at you.

Check out Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. His horrible accent is one of the few things most people recall about that film.

No, use your normal speaking voice and demonstarte your sbility to projecta nd carry the roll. you can also ask if you can read in both your normal voice and then try an accent or save the accent for call backs.

ok seiouly! it's not that hard! just see if other ppl put an accent on it and if ur the first to go just don't, if they wanted you to put an accent on it then screw them!

The Wiz song sounds like a nice choice.

I would definitely stay away from using an accent unless it's specifically requested by the director.
