Question Home

Position:Home>Theater & Acting> INDUSTRY model & talent studios.?

Question:I was wondering if anyone has gone through this system. I have been scouted a couple of times by them. My mom always declined, but we have been talking about it lately. Last time they scouted me I was given a business card. I do understand that this is not an agency but i was thinking that i might go through them. They help you out to get ready for the world andhelp you find an agent. They also do your required headshots and such. I am interested in being an actress and/or model. I was wondering if anyone has gone through here before.

It's got scam written all over it. Don't give them a dime. Real agency's do not send scouts out anywhere let alone malls, etc. where you were most likely approached. That's the typical M.O. of a scam place like that. They tell you there's no fee up front, but there soon will be and it won't be cheap. Models do not need classes. Actors do but you need to go to a reputable place, not some place like this. Never get your headshots from a place like this either, you should get them from an outside photographer who specializes ir at least has a eperate portfolio of actors headshots.

They will not expose you to anyone important, only take your money. Check out this link, they had lots of info on this company:

Don't get taken in. If you want to be an actor, take classes. Go to a real actor's studio or theatre and inquire within. Build a resume by acting in anything you can (theatre, studen & indie films, etc.) For modeling submit snapshots of you to legit agencies and they will tell you if they are interested so long as you fit the physical requirements (height, weight, etc.)

For theatre & other auditions, check out backstage.com & actorsaccess.com but really you need the classes first.
