For the time period, completely. And if you think about it, it is true for today, as well. Both of them thought they knew what love was. At the age Juliet was (13 or 14 I forget) her mother and her nurse and her dad were all pressuring her to find a husband. So when Romeo, who was trying to get over a heartbreak, saw her, he fell in love and she wanted to love him so that she would not have to marry Paris.

No, I'm not convinced at all. Their entire relationship is based on impulse.

Yes , there relationship is convicing , espicially if the actor and actress that are playing the characters , are really at excellent , portraying them. They are two major characters , in the Shakepearen't tradgies . Hope this helps .

totally!

Not really as Romeo and Juliet were young and foolish. I view their relationship the same as I would view any young teenagers of today who claimed to be so in love that they could not live without the other person. While I am not saying young people cannot love, I do say that young people have a lot to learn and what they consider to be love may not be.

In Romeo and Juliets case, Juliet really needed an escape from her arranged marriage to Paris and Romeo was in love with love itself. First with Rosaline and when that was going no where he then claimed to be just so in love with Juliet.

So I am not convinced or amused!
