Position:Home>Theater & Acting> How can i project my voice better?

Question:I'm going to be in an Ebenezer Scrooge play, as the spirit of Christmas past. I was just wondering if there were any techniques or warm up's that i could use in preparation for each practice.
also do you have any pointers that could help me in projecting my voice while i'm onstage?? my instructor says that right now my volume is at an 8, but i need to raise my voice enough to get to a 12. how would i go about doing that and still sound warm and welcoming the way the spirit of christmas past is supposed to be portrayed? i don't want to sound like i'm screaming at everyone, you know?
p.s. -- i'm going to be flying on a harness...is that going to make it harder for me to project my voice at all?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated =] =] =]

You got big problems. The first requisite of projection is speaking very clearly, then speaking loudly. Take in more air and open your mouth wide when you speak to increase the loudness. The harness is going to make it much more difficult.
