Try gathering some general information first: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_t...

Mail your headshots to the Casting Directors in the city where you live. If they are interested they may call you.

Sorry to tell you but JRP is a complete waste of your time and especially your money. Your money is better spent almost anywhere else especially being in SoCal where there is literally a plethora of legitimate acting classes, voice teachers, dance classes, etc. to be found. Don't pay them anything else and get into some legit classes asap. Finish whatever you are doing there and don't break any contracts you've signed, but look at them closely and as long as you aren't in breach don't pay them anything else.

Look into classes at South Coast Rep, depending on how old you are audition to get into OCHSA (grades 7-12), you can take acting classes at MANY places and do theatre at MANY places in Orange Co and many more if you can head towards LA. If your parents could afford to sink money into JRP they can afford some real classes that will actually teach you something.

Talent agents won't give you the time of day without real training and credits. Get into classes, get into theatre productions & check out backstage.com and actorsaccess.com for local auditions (theatre, student & indie films, etc.) then try getting an agent.

SAG.org has legit agent info as well as rossreports.com which you'd have to pay for but it's worth it. Being near LA these things are definitely worth the fee for you as long as yor parents are going to put in the time to take you to them (auditions, rehearsals, and work days) It's a big commitment so kudos to them if they truly support you. If not, you will have to wait until you are on your own and can supprt yourself doing this. You'll also need headshots & a resume.

Check out this site for more help: http://workingactors.com/cgi-bin/page.cg... Click on marketing, then photographers. Also training for classes. There's a lot of resources there but like anything else you should check them out before using them.

good luck,
