How do I get my acting career started??

when all else fails. look for students at your school who are filmmakers. and you can get work that way. you can also use the ol' net.

go on craigs list and you will see that there are ads every day seeking actors and actresses, some paying gigs, some arent, i would also begin to looking into getting headshots.

Do some amateur short-short films on you tube and send them to known agents in New York and L.A.

You believe that you're good. That's a great starting point. Now you have to work hard to develop your talent to a professional level.

Get all the experience you can by acting in plays at your school. If there are community theatres or summer theatres in your area, find out when they'll be holding auditions. If there's somebody at your school who advises students on college applications, ask for help in finding colleges or universities with strong drama programs. The more training and experience you get, the better prepared you'll be for your desired career.
