Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Joseph and Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat Question....?

Question:I can't seem to find any clips of this and it's been ages since i've seen it.

Is there a part in the musical near the end where Joseph gets his coat back?

If there is, what happens? Does anyone bring it on for him ie. Dancers?

I am writing a musical and would love to spoof this moment.

thanks

I am almost postive (95%) that his father brings it back.
I know in the film version with Donny Osmond, his father brings it back. He also got it back in the production I saw. Try looking up the songs "Jacob in Egypt" or "Finale" on YouTube.

Well, i haven't seen the movie, but in the play I saw, I think Joseph gets his coat back. I'm not 100% sure, but when the brothers try to make it look like Joseph is "dead" by selling him into slavery, they take his coat and give it to the father. And when Joseph comes back his father rejoices and just hands him back his coat. I'm pretty sure that's how it is, but I haven't seen it in while. Hope this helped.

You can find all sort of Joseph clips in MySpace.

At the end of the musical Joseph (and the rest of the cast) sings "Give me my coloured coat My amazing coloured coat Give me my coloured coat My amazing coloured coat"

Who actually brings it onstage depends on the staging of the individual production.

In the production I saw, he just appeared through an upstage exit with it on at the end.

on youtube there is tons of video with donny osmand but they're real. I'm not sure if he gets it back but im trying out for it shortyl so..fingers crossed!
