John Robert Powers is a scam. Nobody from Disney Channel or Hollywood will be there (that's simply not how things are done). JRP runs carefully-worded ads to make you ASSUME you're auditioning for Disney or Nickelodeon or whatever (you're not). But they are not real agents and cannot get you work. All they do is offer you classes to "get you ready for representation". But the thing is, their classes cost too much. And I've heard they're not very good either. Which might have been the reason you couldn't pay attention there when you were 5---they weren't really teaching you anything.

Please show your dad all these answers, and tell him he was right not to want to waste his money. If you want acting classes, you can surely find better quality at a lower price. Talk to your drama and English teachers at school, and invetigate drama programs for children at community theatres and universities near you.

There is no fast easy way to become a child star. Sorry. Just don't let people take advantage of you and your dad.

You should never pay for an audition. If that is the case, it is a scam. I would listen to your dad this time. Take some legitimate classes or do community and school theatre.

I'm a Drama teacher and I absolutely agree with the first answer. You should never PAY for the chance to audition.

There are lots of groups out there attempting to scam starry-eyed young actors (and their families) so be careful. Start out with school plays, local community theatre, and get to know directors that you can trust to give you good advice before spending any cash!!! Best of luck.:-)
