That is a funny question. I am actually an actor, writer, and director in Hollywood. I didn't move here until I was 23. I didn't know I wanted to be an actor until I was 21. I am now 26. You have a ways to go! My suggestion to you is live your life while you can. Go to school but be in as many plays as possible even if they are musicals. Some of the BIGGEST directors and producers in Hollywood see actors and actresses in plays and give them big roles in movies. Acting is about using your life experiences to make the character you are playing stronger and more realistic. Moving to Hollywood at such a young age has ruined many people and they have not lived their lives yet. Acting is also not about being famous, it is about liking what you do. If you just want to be famous, there are MANY other jobs that can make you famous and are easier to attain. Becoming famous for acting is about as rare as winning the lottery. You just have to keep at it and never give up. Don't hang out with people that do drugs and watch out who your "real" friends are. My friends are the ones that support me and are dedicated to acting over going to bars and partying. Once you are 18, you can do whatever you want! Just keep at it!

Being your age is tough when you want to be famous. I remeber crying myself to sleep some nights because I wanted to be on stage so badly, but I didn't have the means. I would watch "Wizard of Oz" and get so mad that Judy Garland was that famous when she was that young, and I wasn't.

You need to talk to your parents. Getting voice lessons is the first step if you're interested in musicals. Other wise, look at local theaters that might have some programs for kids. You're gonna need to wrok your way up, convince your parents you're really devoted. So just sit down and talk to them about maybe letting you do a Saturday class. Something simple to show them that you're really interested.

And as for your school productions, audition anyways. Even if you're not the best singer in the world, you can probably get into the chorus. And it will help show your parents that you're devoted. The more devoted youa re the more likely theya re to let you do more.

Don't worry about it. I wanted to become an actor and professional singer when I was 13 but my father was totally against it. However, he did allow me to do some plays in high school as long as I kept my grades up. So I got good grades, sang in the choir to help improve my voice. Once I graduated and went off to college I was able to follow my dream. I became a professional actor and singer and I can't imagine doing anything else... I know you want it so bad right now you can "taste it" but hang in there and do your best in school and obey your parents. Things will change before you know it.

Well, ask your parents the reason why they don't let you become an actress. But, it seems like you are doing this so you can be famous...maybe that's why...
