Question:Okay I'm doing an audition for a play in about 2 months, i know i'm wy to early but i want to get my voice ready and i want to be confident so i am not shy when i get up in front of the whole school. The play is Annie and i was thinking of going for the secretary or an orphan. I know basically all of the songs by heart, what should i do for the audition?

Hi! Funny thing is, my school just had Annie auditions. Although it is ALL politics, the girls who got the good parts dressed up for the audition. My friend who got the part of Mrs. Hannigan wore a polka dotted dress, curled her hair and used eyeliner to make her look like she had freckles. It was a hit- she doesn't have a fantastic voice but her enthusiasm helped her get a part.

If you want Annie, do what she did and dress like her. That will help you get into character. Or dress like an orphan. That's a really good idea too.

Good luck!

you may not like this suggeston but try infront of your family before anything...i know sometimes i would like to go up on stage and most of the times i hate that i am up there looking at the actors(oh yea...im a spot light) while i coulda been up there if i wasnt so shy...but when my teacher forces me to get in a play i just practice with my brother...your family(well a good one anyways) will tell you the good with the bad about your preformance to them

First of all, if your confident enough, go for the part of Annie. if you can audtion with songs from Annie then i would suggest Tommorrow or Maybe.

GO FOR IT!!! for the audition you could sing a song from the play and go for the part you want the most since you have enough confidence do your best and GOOD LUCK

My first audition,
I was a wreck.

This first round ever,
Is scary.

But you learn to loosen up.

Just think,
No one will tease you in your face,
Maybe your family thats it.

Everyone will judge, as your will judge others.

You have to be that character,
not yourself/

Your a total different person
