Monologue?

Question:I'm audtioning for my school musical, Anything Goes, in about a month. We have to memorize a 30 second monologue and sing 16 bars. Anyone have any good ideas for a monologue or song?

Ooooo!!! We did Anything goes last year for our musical. The plays funniest female roles are "Bonnie" and "can't remember name" who are slutty gangster girls in the 40's. So for a monologue I'd follow those lines. As for those 16 bars go REALLY Broadway sounding. There's a son called the "Heaven hop" or "Blow Gabriel, Blow". Anything from those would be Good because the main females song these.

Look up Shakespeare Monologues for women on google. Those are usually good, and short enough for 30 seconds.
