Piano Tutor? They charge £25 an hour!!

I'd stick to it until you reach grade 8, then do some courses to become a proffessional tutor. That way even if you can't make a full time career out of it, it's atleast something you can do on the side.

You could have a Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm office job, and maybe Tutor Piano at the weekend or play lounge music in restaurants in the evening.

Stick with it. My mum quit while she was studying for her Grade 8 examination and she's regretted it ever since.

if you sing as well, you could look for a career as a singer, and approach some recording studios
or, alternatively, look for a band ro singer looking for a piano player
a lot of restaurants are always looking out for musicians, so somthing is always available there
good luck!

Unless you are seriously gifted - which you would know by now - then there is no career in playing the piano for you.
Even session musicians have put in the 10,000 hours practice required to get them to that level of performance ability.
You are out of their league.

You could play professionally for musicals if you're good enough! YOu did put it in theatre! Someday you could do broadway or traveling shows...I have a friend who plays on the national tour of hairspray!

You could play while I lay naked on top of your piano to inspire you. But dont tell my wife.

If you could sing or do back up vocals you could get a job in a band or something.
Or you could be a symphonist person.
You could be a piano teacher O_o
If you write your own songs, you could also be in a band or something.
You might want to learn other instruments as well. A musician is more versatile than a pianist.

you could go to broadway.picasso,da vinci and then you!good luck bebe!

I can't exactly say what kind of career you will get but your repertoire looks diverse. A lot of people need pianists mostly for an event, like weddings, church, accompanist, gigs, restaurants, mostly in the entertainment industry.

You could also try teaching piano to others or in schools who want to learn but it takes a lot of patience (dealing with students who refuse to practice, etc).

If you are really good, you could go study performance arts, become professional, and later perform in concerts with other fellow performers.

There are very few people today who work playing the piano and as a result you could find yourself in reasonable demand, if you have connections with the right agent and depending on your expectations. I run an entertainments agency and we have piano players who work for us from time to time with fees between 200 and 300 pounds for an evening. All are self contained, and use modern electronic pianos and small amplification that sound like the real thing. The pro piano players I know tend to work 2-3 times a week and fill out their date sheet with an odd month here and there as resident or in a holiday location. It depends upon your income expectations as to whether you think it's worthwhile or not.

To do any more than this requires a lot of luck, a lot of time, a lot of contacts and a lot of dedication....then even more luck !!

You can do some tutorials for kids or better yet be a professional music teacher... =)

A good one if you're good.

You could try singing with playing piano, like Ray Charles.

You could be a professional (obviously!), a music teacher, a composer, or a keyboard/piano specialist...there's more...
