Suggestion regarding a small play..?

Do you mean without pain for the caracter or without pain for the actor? The best way to die painless with help is to first take some sleeping pills and then have another one give him or her some sort of poison pills. It can easilly be simulated and makes for great drama when the person about to kill him or her have second thoughts. But is it necessery to show the death? I mean let him or hear wrote a letter and then walk out to the other room with a gun and then bang! Every one will assume that it was that person that just shoot him self (or strangled w a rope or whatever). (Johan)

Heart attack while sleeping

Suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning through burning charcoal within a confined space would be good.

Going out into a snowstorm and feeling sleepy and sitting down a person would freeze to death fairly comfortably!
I realise it may be difficult to incorporate this into your play if your characters don't have access to this sort of environment. Good luck anyway.
PS I hope you aren't planning to do this yourself.
