Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Is anyone familar with the show "How to Eat Like a Child?"?

Question:I am the stage manager for the show and my daughter is in it. Has anyone been in it or seen in? What is your favorite song? We open on November 30th and still have a lot to do! We have 16 kids in it from age 6 (my daughter) to 15 years old. We are putting it on at the local community theater in Stevensville, MT www.chantillytheatre.org Hopefully we will have pictures posted on the website after the show is over. Also, you can see the kids in it at www.geocities.com/eatlikechild

It's a fun show, but of course a lot of work.

this is the best show for that age group. i was in it when i was...11? and i was arlene. Sayonara is an amazing song, and so is we refuse to fall asleep and torture your sister.
The best bit about this is that the set is really simple. All we had were big wooden blocks that we moved during the show and this wooden platform that was like the upstairs section of a house. they were all painted really brightly. we wore pretty much whatever we wanted, except that one scene where everyone is in PJs. we had flashlights, blankets, pillows, and a few scene-specific props, but it really is a show that you can do anywhere, any time!! you can have so much fun with this. Just remember, you are teaching the audience how to be a kid. so everything has to be happy or overdramatically sad, (dramatic lighting, if you have it, can be used...blues and reds during the angry scenes are great) Listen to the kids. They're the experts on being a kid, after all. Listen to them and try to make the match between theatre-appropriate and being a child. best of luck!! this is a fantastic show.

I am familiar with the show! I was stage manager for it last may in Boulder, Co! I'd guess my favorite song would have to be Sayonara sung by Rachel.
