Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Do you have to have a good voice to be in a school musical?

Question:In my school at least, I know that the directors look mainly on your ability to project, or be heard by the people in the audience. You must be able to at leat carry a tune, but your voice doesn't have to be amazing. Only the leads have to have absolutely amazing voices, people in the ensemble just mainly have to do the things above, along with being able to sing with a group, to have your voice "mesh" and not stick out over everyone else.

Well i would hope so. If the director casts you and you don't have a good voice, then your director is wierd. Sorry to say.
