Position:Home>Theater & Acting> "Hold On" from the Secret Garden...how to make the judges remember me?

Question:I'm trying out for the school musical, the Secret Garden.
We have to sing a song in our voice range, which in my case is "Hold On." My question is, how do I make my audition unique and set myself apart from the others? How do I make the judges remember me in a good way? Aside from just singing well, of course.

Also, how should I sing it? Should I belt it out?

Any tips are appreciated! =)

Be very outgoing and be yourself. Smile and add a little bit of movment in the song. Seem like you happier to be there then if you were in disney world! Sing as you would in the shower. If you are nervous don't be. They don't care if you close your eyes, but it's better to open them. Belt is out if you can!Good Luck!

P.S. They are first looking for the "LOOK" Not the part just a personality. That's where you have to be yourself. At the callbacks get into charecter but still BE YOU!!

good question...no1 knowz exactly wut iz goin' through tha directors mind... just do ur best and have fun w/ it or ull wind up havin' a panic attack on stage..lol thats not kool, believe me ive been there, but now im in plays and musicals all tha time. and on wayz 2 sing, belt out when needed, then slow it down u dont want them 2 remember u as tha squillin' pig.
