Involve your parents.
Keep taking acting classes.
Take an on-camera commercial acting class.
Take improvisation class.
THEN try and get an agent. You can contact just one agent and you might get lucky or you can try to contact different agencies that have commercial clients. By contacting more than one, you better your chances of getting picked up by one of them.
Don't forget to prepare for your interview with the agent as well.
nygal said it right about the payments. It's only 10%, maybe 15% in some cases AFTER you do the job.

I got a spot for a commercial when I was 4. All I did was go to an acting school. And then one day they called my Mom saying for me to come down to the studio because they chose me to do a commercial.

hello
and i didnt say they were extremely.
i said very.
i dont think they are thousands...
good luck!
WOOT!
:]

i know a lot of places hold like open auditions..if you're serious about doing it i would consider checking some of them out. the entertainment industry is pretty difficult to get into, and you'll have to face a lot of rejection before you face success.
if you have talent, you'll be discovered.
just get yourself out there, i think finding an agent would be a good idea..but if money is an issue that might not be an option for you right now. but i'd for sure look for open auditions.

good luck! i hope you find something!

Take more acting classes, especially those that focuse on commercial training. You NEVER pay an agent, they pay you.

Most Talent Agents work on a 10% or 15% commission ONLY, nothing else.

It is the only money to which agents are entitled to take from the actor.

You will need an agent if you want to do commercials. There are several very good talent agencies in Houston, I don't know if they represent children.

Other than local commercials, national commercials are rarely filmed in Houston.

The Lee Petersen Agency is a Houston Talent Agency.
Ask your parents to look her up online or in the Yellow Pages.
