Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Any great ways to memorize a song?

Question:Listen to the song multiple times. First, just listen to it a few times, then read the lyrics while listening to the song multiple times. Then, just look at the lyrics and sing the song (either out loud or in your head). Then, once you've memorized the majority of the song, then just listen to the song itself again.

(This has helped me before!)

listen to it over and over again, it will come to you!

First of all, listen to the song with the lyrics in front of you, so you actually know all the words, then listen to the song over and over again.

Listen to it and sing it all the time. Make sure also listen to it or sing it right before you go to bed every night. It really helps.

Get the lyrics of the song (sing along) and break the song into small sections memorizing each section before you go to another.

Listen to it a few times to get a feel for the melody. Once you know the general flow of the song, start line by line. This works best sitting next to a CD player. Try to sing along with the song and get as far as you can without messing up. Once you mess up, start the track over again. It will get pretty redundant after a while (especially in the beginning when you're restarting after a few lines). Take a break if you get really frustrated...you don't want to end up HATING the song. Good luck!
