Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Creativity NEEDED!!!?

Question:I'm writing our school play, but the problem is... I need some ideas. It is for middle schoolers, and I'm not looking for a full script or anything, just a story to get it going. And no, don't tell me to go buy one. They're too expensive. Thanks a lot!!!

If you are having this much problem coming up with something, then I suggest you just forget the whole idea. Once someone gives you an idea (really, cretaivity is supposed to come from within and if we give you an idea then it really isn't your work), are you then going to ask for dialogue and other aspects? If you have no more creativity than what you display, just move onto something else. Writing a play (even for school) is a very big task and I think you may be in over your head.

Maybe you could center the play around the idea that you're a "Super" school, where all the students have superpowers. You could have a lot of fun coming up with obscure powers (See Movie Called Mystery Men) and strange outfits.
