I live in Scotland i am looking to get work on tv commercials etc?

Buy The Stage newspaper - your local newsagent will order it for you. It costs ￡1. They have tons of adverts for TV commercials and other TV and theatre work. Quite often these are open auditions which means anyone can turn up, you don't need an agent, etc. These are held in the major cities throughtout the UK.

You could send a CV or résumé including a photo and maybe some voice clips and video to an advertising agency and they hopefully will find you some work.

What you are trying to do is to be an actor. Talent agents and casting agencies are what you want. Look in the yellow pages.
