Because it's like the only musical children nowadays are exposed to. I know - it's sad.

i have been wondering the same thing for ages. when did people stop caring about talent? i mean the most talented person is the ryan guy, and he gets the least hype out of all of them. I can understand why people love musicals (i am one of them) but: GO SEE A GOOD ONE!!!

because the songs are great, even though the storyline kinda sucks.
its big for kids because they get to see the "reality" (sike) of high school.
if anything that happened from that movie in real life, like someone jumped on a lunch table and started singing, they would be punched in the face.

Because most people have never seen a REAL musical nor know what a musical is. Shame.

i watched the first one and i honestly don't get why everyone thinks it's so great! i thought it was pretty stupid. seriously there are better things on disney channel...
and i don't get why everyone likes all the stars so much too. i mean, ashley tisdale is cool but i dont' like vanessa or zac

Because it's the first children musical! And Zac's Sexy like the first person said. Kids love singing and that sort of stuff.
