Question:I need a music piece from a musical. We are both alto but can sing in soprano if need be. Two woman preferably, but gender doesn't matter too much. Also, where can I find the sheet music for it?

ask.com or google... easy question

I like "On my Own" from Les Mis, but it isn't a duo. The duo in that is "Master of the House." Man and woman, very funny song.

If you need a song for two women, I recommend "Bosom Buddies" from Mame. It's funny and both women are given equal time in the song.

That only leaves about a million possibilities.

We have all the obvious ones, Oklahoma, Mame, South Pacific, Music man, Godspell, etc.

and the more obscure:

We are Women" from Candide

"Who Will Love Me As I Am" from Side Show

"I Know Him So Well" from Chess

"I Still Believe" from Miss Saigon

"In His Eyes" from Jekyll and Hyde

try "i will never leave you" from side show, that's a really good one for two girs, or "take me for what i am" (i think that's the title) from rent, you can find sheet music online, you can download it for like $4 a song

Marry the Man today from Guys and Dolls
Adelaide and Sarah discuss the merits of landing the fish, then training him the way you want.

You're Just in Love from Call Me Madame
Actually for a mature woman and a young man, but it could be a mother/daughter kind of thing. It's a fun song with two verses sung separately then together.

Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof.
For 3 girls, but you can work it out for 2.

If Momma Was Married from Gypsy
June and Louise lament the fact that Momma gets married amd married, but never get carried away.

Bosom Buddies from Mame
Mame and Vera celebrate their longtime friendship, with a few little jibes tucked in. You may want to change the phrase "sex and guts" to "looks and talent" if you're in high school. Of course, today, that may not be necessary.

Sheet music all over the place. Most of these are standards and can be found in the vocal selection books. I don't know where you live, so I don't know how to tell you where to buy sheet music. If you live in St. Louis, Shattingers would be the place. I'm sure it's available online, probably from Amazon if no place else. Good luck.

Take Me or Leave Me - it's from Rent. It's also Alto!
Two Women Sing it.

Stepsisters Lament from Cinderella is a fun duet for 2 Altos. You can show a lot of pesonality and both parts get pretty equal time.
