1.) What relation is Riff to Tony?
They are friends, they both started the jets together, they treat each other like brothers.

2.) Where does Maria work?
A seamstress shop, she sews.

3.) Why does Doc willingly get money from Tony?
I am only familiar with the play I'm not sure this happend in the play, but if it did I have forgotten about it. =]

4.) Could there have been any other ending?
Yes, if Tony knew Maria were alive he wouldn't have called chico's name to come kill him, which alerted chico where he was, and thus chico shooting him. If he knew maria were alive he would have been safe and they would have gotten married.
