Who told you you had to pay for an agent!???

Cut off communication with those people immediately and start educating yourself about how things work in the industry before you run off and become the umteenthousandth victim of another scam!

Really. Agents get 10% of what you make for each and every single job you get cast for. That's it! Maybe, maybe 15%, but even that is rare.

That's the way it works.

No matter what they say, no matter what they promise you, no matter how good they make things sound, that's not the way it's done! They will take your money and you will have nothing. Start getting your parents involved so they know what you are doing.

This tells me also that you probably haven't taken any classes yet either. That's bad. And you are already out looking for an agent? If you had been taking classes with a good and responsible teacher and had a good relationship with them, they would have told you what I just did and you would have broken off communication with those scam artists already. What's more, if your teacher thought you were ready to go out and get an agent and audition, she would have told you that and maybe even recommended someone to you.

Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. For your own sake. And start going to acting class. I'm not even going to go into a spiel about how you get an agent, because you haven't convinced me that you are ready for one. Instead here is a page that will give you 23 reasons why you should be in class if you really want to become an actor: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/takin...

Peace out! and...
Good luck!

p.s. I just read over what I wrote to you. I hope it didn't seem to harsh, but I get very passionate about trying to help youngsters get themselves on the right path. That's why I built the site. Take care and good luck.

You don't pay a real agent up front. Leave it.

Run away! Dont even answer phone calls from them since they probably make you pay for them as well.

No real and serious agent take any charge of theyre actors. They draw a fixed percent from your incame instead.

You have putted your head into a barrel of horse ****. Go away from it! Johan

If they are charging you up front to represent you, it is a scam. Run away!

You never pay an agent...ever...no matter what they say. Real agents take NO money and in fact will sometimes pay for your headshots.
