i've been in a circus before and it's not that out-of-whack....

lots of bright colors. lots of tights with brightly colored patterns. lots of leotards. very few shoes, barefoot or tights-foot. crazy hairstyles. sometimes, elaborately painted faces. but mainly, lots of bright colors
