Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Help! I need your opinion on a name for my character.?

Question:I have finally started writing the story I've been keeping down in a notebook since I was in a highschool,it's still in a very rough draft stage. But before I officially start I wanted your opinion on what my leading lady's name should be.It is set in a modern day setting, and I wanted to know what name sounds more attractive to you,Sadie or Livy (Olivia).I'm also open to suggestions with an explanation of why the names are sexy, appealing,or whatever signal they send you.Thanks.

Sadie. it isn't used as much.

I usually base the names of my characters on their personality, or after a character in mythology (like call the pretty girl "Venus" after the goddess of beauty), etc. Names mean different things to people. In my opinion, I like Olivia better than Sadie, but not with the nickname. My opinion: what do you think when you think these names? Which one, in your opinion, matches the character's personality. Gender and class are also important. For example: the name Stacy, I've noticed, tends to be the name of the snotty popular girl in books and movies. I don't know anybody named Stacy, so that's another factor as well. Hope this helps!

Livy - youve already got a nickname for the character and I just like the name better.
