Position:Home>Theater & Acting> I need help with writing a song?Question:All I have so is.. baby can't you see Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: All I have so is.. baby can't you see Writing a poem is something interesting. All you need is the power of imagination. To become a big poet you need more. You must be well aware of several subjects. Now, let us come to fundamental thing. Rhymes are important in songs. It's nothing but similar sound at the end of each sentence. When you write an imaginary love song with full of descriptions, it is easy to create such ryhmes. But when you write a real story in the form of a song, it is difficult. Generally songs are written like this. For example, in a song, if a line ends in "deep" the next line must end in words like "heep" "geep" etc. If you are a great thinker, you can form more than one in sentences. That is, first word, middle word and last. It is difficult task. You need more power of imagination and you must know more words from the dictionary. To explain this further, I have to make you to read few lines of a song which I have written but discontinued. This is not about three rhymes in a sentence. Just read first: Aside the village’s grassy fields Where the birds often squealed Under a great banyan tree Lived a little white rat free Breathing the breeze so good and clean Eating the foods more fresh and sweet Drinking the water that stream gave lot With all the freedom no human ever got He leaped and jumped over trees and plants He sang and danced ever with his mates Their long white tails had never been a trouble They never called him mouse and tried to muffle They praised his beauty and colour more bright Adviced to stay aloof from humans and their sight If not a hand doll as he was so small Without an escape till he die and fall Jimbo the little rat never made mistake He never had been caught even in the dark So smart he's the old rats said and So fast too the younger mates praised Yet one day the fate turned away Little Jimbo was hurry on his way - to Enjoy a rest beneath the root A cool hole as ever which never had been hot Near his bulky banyan tree He heard the noise of playing three You can find many ryhmes at the end of lines (tree-free, lot-got, trouble-muffle, etc.,). This is an imaginary story. You need not follow this law strictly. It is also important how you split when you read these lines. For example, the first sentence has 4 splits = Aside - the village's - grassy - fields. So also the second has 4 splits = where - the birds - often - squealed. These things add beauty to the sound while you pronounce. These are the fundamental things you need to write a song. Then points. It's all depends upon your intelligence and knowledge. |
