Question:How much dancing is involved in the part of Phila and what kind. Also i am still looking for audition songs. I think Green finch and linnet bird from sweeney todd may be an option. they're both sondheim and i think the characters are similar- please let me know if i am misinformed because i have never seen either musical. Any more info on the character or musical would be good. would it be appropriate for a 17 year old girl to play this part in community theatre

I've seen a production with very little choreography. It's depends on the director, the choreographer and the size of the stage.
Since "...Forum" is a farse and quite comical, an upbeat song would be appropriate. The age will quite likely depend on the overall age of the rest of the cast.
Go for it and keep an open mind; the director may visualize you in a different role than what you have in mind. The experience will do you good whether or not you get a part.
Break a leg!

Buster Keaton as Erronius was a good farewell part for him.

both musicals are available on video and/or DVD
Look at them first before auditioning - it will be helpful

good luck

Sure it is appropriate. You must be very attractive. Forum does not have the big dance numbers that most Broadway shows have, so the dancing should be easy enough.
