Question: Can an omnipotent being feel emotion!?
Entropy

Alone at my station, I observe the heavens,
the galaxies expanding through time and space,
their planets frenetically whirling around their primaries

I separate light from darkness,
seed life in the slime of new worlds,
watch them take root, evolve and grow!.

I fire a nebula to awe my incredulous creatures,
cause a star to go nova for their edification,
send an asteroid crashing for their punishment!.

I watch their ships rise from the surfaces,
tap into their computers,
learn the meaning of mortality!.

I know the joy and pain of the flesh,
understand love and hate and hope,
and for a time, I too live!.

I alone have seen and known and done it all,
there is none to share Eternity with me,
I am angry, jealous, lonely, bored!.

It is time to begin anew!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Interesting perspective, one we can only speculate about!.

Can a being whose existence is, always has been and always will be infinite feel boredom!?

Humankind, with its linear view of time and its clear limits to life can only guess at the perspective of an infinite and omnipotent being!.

A question: Given the Asian circular view of time, can they understand infinity better than we in the West can!? Something to ponder!.

"Entropy always Increases" The second law of thermodynamics!.
Hell of a way to run a Universe!

Maybe the cosmologies which postulate a time of creation, growth, death, a time of rest, then re-birth are correct!. If we create God in our own image boredom and the other emotions mentioned would be expected!.

I think your poem shows well that the big guy has emotions!. Besides, if he had no emotions, he would not have gotten mad and drowned all of show some respect's ancestors, except the one that was pregnant!. It doesn't realize the to get respect, one needs to earn it, which this insulting troll has yet to do!. All it has earned from me is a frown of contempt and disdain!. Oh, well, I digress, I liked the poem, and especially the way you put it in the first person, so it sounded like me talking instead of you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
